[TDSD] - Technical Downhill and Street Drifting

Well almost everyone has caught on by now:
Requx resigned from his co-leader position over a month ago now, and most of the team followed suite within the following 2 weeks.

This post is just an update, letting everyone know that [TDSD] is / has disbanded, meaning that the members board will be wiped clean once again; although this by no means that the team is shutting down. Just as it was for 2012, I will keep the team open as the only member; and applications will be reopened with no procedural change. Please note that all 2013 recruits do not hold the same ability to join back into the team with free will, as older recruits do.

Finally this blog may be merged with the E24 Blog, to promote better management and more frequent updates.

Just another day on the TDSD Drift Server, our good friend Flako decided to help us out in taking a few happy snaps of me and RockeT doing a couple of tight drifts. The twins were by RockeT and I, and the 90* at LVAP was done by me. Thanks Flako for the nice screenshots!

I don't normally post big welcomes but I felt it was necessary. I'd just like to take this moment to welcome KingSaLvio to the team! He's a strong drifter, quite known, and has personal ties with the team. Another great addition to TDSD's future! ;)

14/6/2013: I'd just like to take this moment to announce Yohsuke's entry to the team, and a great addition to the team it is!

What better way to get more people involved with TDSD, but with a drift session on a map created by Excel24 himself!? Much like what DRFT had done in the past, we will have a set time & date for the event, with everyone invited to come join in. So get ready, tell all of your friends, and hopefully this will become a success!

Glad to see the team already progressing well, though I've kinda been forced to make another post regarding my absence.

I've gotten several skype emails just within the last day, some saying goodbye and others asking If I'm really leaving; but hold on!

Many of you have noticed my inactivity within the GTA community, being active for a week or a month at a time, then disappearing again; well, it's pretty obvious that you can't lead a team in that manner. By no means am I leaving GTA, leaving [TDSD], or dying of a life threatening disease. Honestly recruiting Requx into the team was the best move I'd made in a long while, and to have him helping out with team leadership is even better. I will still be kicking around every once in a while, as a lot of you are already used to; the only difference is that [TDSD] is finally going to see some well deserved change. Alternatively, to anyone now more motivated to recruit for the team, you can still take it up with me, or any other team issues if you see me, as you would've before.

Truly sad to see Excel go inactive, but I am honored that he has chosen me to keep the team alive. Although, much as the title states, "Where there is sadness, greatness follows". Hello to everyone, it's been a while.

In the odd case that nobody had noticed before, [TDSD]Requx was given permission to start creating posts here on the blog, concluding the creation of the past three.  Today is going to be a strange day; for the past 7  2/4 years I have been at the head of [TDSD] in every department, steering the team wherever I thought best and trying to keep the name alive. Well, as it may be obvious to most people, I haven't done a very good job in the recent years. Keeping the recruitment standards the same as they were in 06', the ideals of the team had almost created a private society in which only a very few select players would ever be able to join. The team was originally created with the sole purpose of being deemed 'The best' in GTA's online history; and while we may have held that reputation years ago, collaborating on and creating some of the best innovations in modification and drifting styles, it is impossible to go any further with a team which hasn't even seen a new team video since 2009.

Honestly, [TDSD] has reflected more of my own personal life, ups and downs than anything else; and it hasn't been very pretty, so I feel I'm doing pretty good with this next move:

[TDSD]Requx is being given full permission to take on team leadership & team recruitment.
-Requx, while I may have not had as much time to get to know him as the rest of the team members, I have nothing but respect for; In effect as of May 13, 2013.
In his decision to leave the team due to inactive leadership, he had planned on creating a new team; however, having heard similar once before with team-mate Sarah, I'd rather not hear that again, and actually do something about it. Together we decided to keep the [TDSD] going, and for that I am very thankful of Requx; so expect things to finally change around here, and I have no doubt that they will be for the good.

Some things that -won't- change:
-All past members (not kicked) and inactive members will be allowed re-admittance into the team at any time should they desire so.
-I will also remain in a leadership position with full authority of the team, as remains Vertex and MilkMan, now with a fourth party, Requx.
